The Middle East operation was started in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It has been established through a partnership with James L Williams Holding Australia by Michael Boufarhat (Chairman and CEO of James L Williams Middle East) over eight years ago when teaming up with Allen L Williams (Director of James L Williams Middle East).
James L. Williams (JLW) was one of Australia’s largest services contractors; established in 1875 it is Australia’s most experienced services contractors.
Cemented as part of Australia’s history as the services contractor to carry out many Australian firsts including the first air-conditioned building in Australia. Since 1875 JLW has been involved in a significant number of commercial projects within Australia covering a wide range of buildings including commercial office towers, residential buildings, hospitals, health care facilities, research laboratories, bioscience centres, data centres, airports, hotels, resorts, maximum security prisons, infrastructure works and more.

JLW directly manages approximately 7,500 employees; 2,500 as direct employees, supplemented by 5,000 specialist sub-contractors under its management. Its annual revenues are in excess of AED700M.
JLW is one of the few EPC contractors in the Middle East with a large in-house design and engineering team allowing (in excess of a 120, including engineering designers, BIM modellers, and draftsmen) that offer complete, coordinated and integrated MEP solutions to a consistently high standard.
JLW utilises the latest state-of-the-art technology including 3, 4 and 5D technology to allow full coordination, precision installation, time and cost control as well as the ability to produce smart building information data and energy analysis. JLW engineering are an advocate and heavily utilise off-site prefabrication manufacturing for MEP.
JLW has an impressive collection of high profile projects that are completed and an array of projects in the pipeline. These projects are based in the UAE, mainly Dubai and Abu Dhabi. JLW Middle East has completed the MEP works for the Oberoi Resort – Al Zorah Development in Ajman, PDP in Dubai, The One JLT for DMCC in Dubai, Masdar Headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Training Academy in Abu Dhabi, Standard Chartered Bank UAE Headquarters in Dubai, Langham Sea View Club and Hotel – Palm Jumeriah in Dubai, City of Lights which is part of the Abu Dhabi Reem Island development, Lifeline Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, Office Building Development in Abu Dhabi, Nadd Al Hamar Medical centre in Dubai, Dalma Mall project in Abu Dhabi, Al Quoz Neighbourhood Shopping Mall in Sharjah, Department of Defence Facility and Warehouse in Dubai, Deira City Centre Refurbishment in Dubai.
