The Dubai Mall – Infrastructure Major Diversion Works

Description
JLW were appointed to co-ordinate and complete and extensive and complicated diversion works of all existing infrastructure services located along one of the busiest highways in the centre of Dubai. The highway is the Financial Centre which runs parallel with the existing Dubai Mall which is the main artery connecting the Sheik Zayed Road with the Al Khail Road/Business Bay Crossing.
The diversion works involved kilometres of new infrastructure services and involved significant co-ordinated shutdowns of major services such as telecoms, electricity and water supplies serving the major business and financial districts of Dubai.
The following is the list of infrastructure services which formed part of JLW scope of works.
- 300, 600 & 1200mm Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Water Lines
- 11KV, 33kV & 132kV DEWA HV Cables
- Diversion of service provider telecommunication cabling
- Diversion of military cabling
The diversion works for Dubai Mall were completed on time and with full approval from the service and road authorities within Dubai.
